2026 California American Innovation Dollar Slated For Release Today

The American Innovation $1 Coin Program from the United States Mint will continue its 2026 releases today beginning at 12pm EST. Having already released Iowa and Wisconsin, the Mint will honor California with the latest dollar coin.

Introduced in 2018 with an introductory coin, the multi-year series is in its ninth year and aims to honor innovation and innovators for each of the 50 states, the District of Columbia, and the five United States territories (Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands). The year 2026 will honor Iowa, Wisconsin, California, and Minnesota.
