The 2017-W Burnished American Silver Eagle is a special version of the popular American Silver Eagle coin. The "W" mint mark indicates that the coin was struck at the West Point Mint in New York. Like all American Silver Eagles, the 2017-W Burnished Silver Eagle contains one troy ounce of .999 fine silver.

The obverse features the iconic "Walking Liberty" design created by Adolph A. Weinman. This design was originally used on the Walking Liberty Half Dollar from 1916 to 1947. The reverse side displays an eagle and shield design created by John Mercanti. It includes the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," "1 OZ. FINE SILVER," and "ONE DOLLAR." The "W" mint mark is also present on the reverse.
