"AU58" designates the grade assigned to the coin according to the Mint State scale by the PCGS. AU58 indicates the coin is just shy of being considered uncirculated or Mint State; at AU58 the coin has seen very little wear, often with minor softness on the highest points but retaining most of its original luster. An AU58 coin will have almost full detail and luster. Wear is usually visible only on the very highest points, such as the cheek of Liberty on a Peace dollar.
