The United States Mint is gearing up for its next major release with the 2025 Proof American Silver Eagle from San Francisco. Available beginning today at 12pm EST, you can purchase the coin for $95.00.
Comprised of 1oz of .999 fine silver, the 2025 Silver Eagle features Adolph A. Weinman’s full length depiction of Lady Liberty as the flag is wrapped around her. Her right hand holds branches of laurel, and her left hand holds oak. The reverse features an eagle getting ready to land carrying an oak branch.
With a mintage and product limit of just 110,000, the initial household limit is set at 10. The stunning coin will come in a black presentation case accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
One of the key points in this release is reiterated by the Mint not once, but twice in the product description. It reads as follows: “There are currently no further releases scheduled for this product beyond 2025 as we create new numismatic products to enhance your collection.”
While it would be unsound to assume that this is the LAST Proof Silver Eagle from San Francisco, it is clear that there are no current plans to strike any more for the foreseeable future.
