The highly anticipated Comic Art Coin & Medal Program kicks off today beginning at 12pm EST with Superman™! The 2.5oz silver medal, 1oz silver medal, and $50 gold coin will be available on PRESALE. .
All three options will feature the same obverse and reverse design and bear the 2025 date. Featured on the obverse is the Man of Steel himself, Superman™! He is depicted flying over his family farm with the sun in the background symbolizing not just what nurtures the farm where a young Clark Kent grew up with his adoptive parents, but also the primary source that allows him to have his tremendous powers. LIBERTY and 2025 are inscribed as well.
The reverse captures the duality of the man we know and love. He is shown as a young man watching a plane fly overhead. His father, Pa Kent, looks on in the design knowing he will only have his son for a short time before he leaves to fulfill his destiny. SUPERMAN and HOPE and STRENGTH are featured on the silver medals while UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ½ OZ. .999 FINE GOLD, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and $50 are featured on the 24kt gold coin.
Retailing for $275.00, the 2.5oz silver medal will be minted in Philadelphia and limited to 25,000. The initial household limit is set at one with no current product limit. The 1oz silver medal is also minted in Philadelphia with no mintage, product, or household limit. It will retail for $135.00. Finally, the gold coin will be struck in a Proof finish from West Point with a mintage limit set at 10,000 with a household limit of just one.
All the items will be accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity and will be expected to ship beginning in the early Fall.
