2025 United States Mint Set – American Women Quarters, Year Four
The 2025 United States Mint Set showcases uncirculated business-strike coins from both the Philadelphia and Denver Mints, presented in the Mint’s modern non-folder packaging style introduced in 2022. Designed to highlight each coin clearly while conserving space, this format has become the standard for recent Mint Sets. For 2025, the U.S. Mint has established a strict mintage limit of 190,000 sets, reflecting continued low-production trends among modern releases.
This set marks the fourth year of the American Women Quarters Program, featuring ten quarters—five from each mint—honoring these influential figures:
- Ida B. Wells – Journalist, educator, suffragist, and early leader in the civil rights movement.
- Juliette Gordon Low – Founder of the Girl Scouts of the USA, empowering generations of young women.
- Dr. Vera Rubin – Pioneering astronomer whose work on galaxy rotation provided foundational evidence of dark matter.
- Stacey Park Milbern – Influential disability justice advocate and community organizer.
- Althea Gibson – Groundbreaking athlete and the first Black competitor at the highest levels of professional tennis and golf.
Alongside the quarter series, the set includes uncirculated examples of the 2025 Lincoln Cent, Jefferson Nickel, Roosevelt Dime, Kennedy Half Dollar, and a beautifully detailed 2025 Native American Dollar. This year’s dollar honors the Indian Citizenship Act of 1924 and features rich cultural symbolism. The obverse maintains the classic Sacagawea portrait, while the reverse depicts:
- An eagle staff and American flag together, symbolizing the dual citizenship of Native Americans;
- Mary Kawena Pukui wearing a hibiscus flower, traditional kukui nut lei, and aloha-print muʻumuʻu, representing Hawaiian heritage and cultural preservation;
- Stylized ocean waves, acknowledging the deep connection to land and nature;
- Inscriptions including “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA,” “$1,” and “Nānā I Ke Kumu” — translated as “Look to the Source.”
With its compelling new quarter designs, richly symbolic Native American Dollar, and a limited mintage of only 190,000 sets, the 2025 Mint Set stands out as a key addition for collectors assembling modern U.S. Mint Sets or following current circulating coin programs.
