1935 D Washington Quarter MS64 NGC Brown Label

Washington quarters are still minted to this day in much the same design. Beginning in 1932, marking the 200th anniversary of George Washington's birth, US quarters as we know it got their start. Designed by John Flanagan, a New York sculptor Washington's right facing profile can be found on the obverse while an eagle with the face value is found on the reverse.  From 1932-1964 quarters were produced with 90% silver composition at the Philadelphia, Denver and San Francisco mints.
