2021 Peace Silver Dollar 100th Anniversary

Celebrate a century of an iconic American silver dollar with the 2021 Peace Silver Dollar 100th Anniversary. The obverse showcases Anthony de Francisci’s distinctive portrait of Liberty wearing a radiant crown. Liberty faces left with flowing hair and a bold, sculptural appearance that helped distinguish the Peace Dollar from earlier American silver dollar designs. The inscriptions LIBERTY and IN GOD WE TRUST appear alongside the date 2021.

On the reverse, a American bald eagle rests upon a rock while holding an olive branch, a fitting representation of the coin’s message of peace. Rays rise behind the eagle, while UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM and ONE DOLLAR complete the design. The word PEACE appears prominently along the bottom, reinforcing the symbolism that has defined the series for more than a century.

.999 Fine Silver in Original Government Packaging

While the original Peace Dollars were composed of 90% silver, the 2021 anniversary edition was updated for the modern era and struck in .999 fine silver with an Uncirculated finish. The United States Mint produced only one version of the 2021 Peace Dollar, striking it at Philadelphia without a mint mark. This makes the issue a direct centennial tribute to the historic coin that first appeared in 1921.
