2023 Perth(P) Australia Silver Kangaroo 2oz Reverse Gilded Coin In Original Government Packaging

The obverse bears the Jody Clark effigy of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, her years of reign: 1952-2022 and the monetary denomination. The coin’s reverse portrays a kangaroo standing stationary, exploring the Australian Outback. The background (field) and other artistic elements, including representations native trees and brush are gilded in 24K Gold. Also within the gilded area is the inscription "KANGAROO," The Perth Mint’s "P" mint mark, and the coin’s weight, purity and 2023 year-date.

The year 2023 marks the 8th year of issue for the Silver Kangaroo. The main significance of this silver bullion coin is that it was the first ever silver bullion issue from Perth to be struck in .9999 fine silver rather than .999 fine silver. A recognizable symbol of Australia, the kangaroo features in the Australian national emblem alongside the emu.
