An annual sovereign coin release from the Perth Mint, the 2024 year-date marks the 34th anniversary of the coin issue. The 2024 reverse design portrays a beady-eyed kookaburra in flight over a gorge with a snake in its talons. The words "AUSTRALIAN KOOKABURRA", "1oz 9999 SILVER" and the "P125" Perth Mint mint-mark (125 designating the Perth Mint's 125th anniversary) appear on the reverse as well. The obverse features the depicts the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, and the monetary denomination. Each coin has a $1 Face Value (FV) which is backed by the Australian Government.
