1926 Silver Peace Dollar Mint State 62 PCGS Blue Label
The introduction of the Peace Silver Dollar in 1921 was intended to be a one-year only issue commemorative, but the high relief design was so well-received that the mint lowered the relief and continued to strike the series intermittently until 1935. Your Peace dollar will come graded by PCGS in a Mint State 62 with their standard blue label.
1926 Silver Peace Dollar MS62 PCGS
The dollar of new design issued from December 1921 through 1935 was a commemorative peace coin. The Peace dollar was issued without congressional sanction, under the terms of the Pittman Act, which referred to the bullion and in no way affected the design. Anthony de Francisci, a medalist, designed this dollar. His monogram is located in the field of the coin under the neck of Liberty.
