2000 United States Mint Set – Second Year of the 50 State Quarters Program

The 2000 United States Mint Set features uncirculated examples of every circulating denomination struck by the Philadelphia and Denver Mints. This year’s set continues the excitement of the 50 State Quarters Program and includes ten State Quarters—five from each mint—honoring: Massachusetts, Maryland, South Carolina, New Hampshire, and Virginia. Packaged in its colorful Original Government Packaging (OGP), the 2000 set follows the modern presentation style introduced in 1999. The official mintage for the 2000 Mint Set was 1,490,179 sets, according to the official Red Book.

In addition to the ten State Quarters, the 2000 Mint Set includes uncirculated Lincoln Cents, Jefferson Nickels, Roosevelt Dimes, Washington Quarters, 2000 Kennedy Half Dollars, and—new for this year—the 2000-P and 2000-D Sacagawea Dollar. This marks the first appearance of the new golden dollar in a U.S. Mint Set, making 2000 a key modern date. All coins are sealed in Mint-issued cellophane, preserving strong luster, sharp strike quality, and mintmark clarity.
