An annual release from the Perth Mint, the 2022 1kilo .9999 Silver Koala BU Coin features an enhanced softly frosted finish. Designed by Ing Ing Jong, this koala coin portrays the iconic animal dozing on the bough of a tree amid clusters of aromatic eucalyptus leaves along with the inscription ‘KOALA’ and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark, and the coin’s weight, purity and year-date. The obverse features the Jody Clark effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Each coin has a $30 Face Value (FV) which is backed by the Australian Government.
