This is the introductory Proof coin to the American Innovation $1 Coin Program established in 2018. The coins in the multi-year program will honor innovation and innovators from each State, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Northern Mariana Islands. This $1 Proof Coin struck at San Francisco will come in a lens and Original Government Packaging accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity from the United States Mint.
