We enjoy allowing those factors to be considered. That is why over the last decade and a half we created a half-ounce silver option that would cater to those who wanted to own silver without breaking the bank. While past year’s designs were much more limited, there are now ten different ways to own half-ounce silver.
Buffalo Replica Half-Ounce .999 Silver Medallion
Depicting a long-time favorite design, this No Date Half Ounce (½ oz) Buffalo .999 Silver Medallion is custom minted at our very own Silvertowne Mint in Winchester, Indiana. The obverse is replicated after the original Buffalo Nickel design as the word “LIBERTY” follows the curve of the upper right side of the medallion with the classic Indian in the middle of the design. The reverse is yet another replica of the famous buffalo/bison (believed to be modeled after Black Diamond) image on the Buffalo Nickel. The words “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA” and “E PLURIBUS UNUM” are inscribed at the top of the coin above the buffalo/bison while the words “½ OZ .999 FINE SILVER” are seen at the bottom, replacing the original words “FIVE CENTS” from the 1913-1938 nickel.
This half-ounce design is perfect for those with a limited budget as well as convenient for storing. This medallion will come in a plastic flip while increments of 20 are available in plastic tubes.
