2013 Canada Silver Maple Leaf 1oz BU
The obverse features the right-facing image of Queen Elizabeth II. This design, by Susanna Blunt, is only the 4th version of the Queen to appear on Canadian coinage. Above the Queen's head is her name, and along the bottom of the coin is the denomination of "5 Dollars" and the date of 2013. The reverse features the best-known image typifying Canada, the Maple Leaf. This finely detailed design was made by Dora de Pedery-Hunt. "CANADA" appears across the top of the coin, and the fineness of "9999" flanks either side of the leaf. The weight in English and French ring the bottom half of the coin: "Fine Silver 1 oz Argent Pur."
The Royal Canadian Mint is the only mint on earth to issue commemorative coins in a .9999 fineness. The Silver Maple Leaf is the purest government-minted silver bullion coin in the world.
